This is a short section of the film I'm working on at the moment. We're currently in production and animating the scenes roughly before clean up and colouring..
Poor little guy doesn't know what's coming to him!
The Terrence Higgins Trust launched a new website called 'Talk Safe' for 10-18 year olds which provides advice and help for young people with issues.
Myself, Kerrie and Sadie worked together to produced an advert which we felt would appeal to young people without specifying exactly any issues, but instead target a wider feeling of confusion and angst.
We filmed our pixellated actors against a blue screen and used After Effects to compiled against jittered backgrounds to create a feeling of separation.
We're really proud of the outcome - thanks to our wonderful actors and actress for their great work.
Hooray! I can now give you a little insight into the latest film I'm working on to be shown in our end of year show in June.
This is part of our "Minor" film module, in which we develop a short animated film to a professional standard. I'm working with two very talented fellow students, Kerrie and Sadie (my Zombieboy collaborator) to produce a short animated film about a little girl who finds a creature and, well.. disturbing events follow.
Here's our latest animatic. It has already been through many, many developments and it barely resembles the original concept that we pitched to our peer group and tutor/producer Sylvie Bringas.
From this point on we're starting to produce the rough animation!
Here's my very first (proper) attempt at animating using Photoshop! This is a scene from my latest project, which I'll indulge a little later on in the production stage.. Check back later! :)
This was my first venture using paint-on-glass as an animated medium, which was an incredible learning curve for me. I worked with Sadie St.Hilaire, my animation partner-in-crime. We adapted Edgar Allen Poe's "The Masque of the Red Death" into a short zombie story about the paranoia and over-active imagination of a little boy who perhaps shouldn't be watching horror movies late at night..
Enthusiastic, motivated and optimistic sum me up pretty well!
I'm a 2nd year Animation student at the University of Westminster. When I'm not animating or drawing, I can be found visiting London galleries, watching films or making cup-cakes.
